Folk Festivals

Pakistan folk arts are centuries old. Unfortunately these arts are not being carried forward and there is a fear of the heritage being lost.


Awareness is being created by organizing workshops, exhibitions, musical evenings, stage plays, craft festivals etc.


A Folk Festival is held annually at Islamabad during the month of October. This colorful festival features cultural groups from all over Pakistan exhibiting their handicrafts, folk dances and music.

Pavilions reflecting the life styles of different regions are on display in addition to various other entertaining events.
