We are offering a two week holiday in the Hunza Valley, to include the justifiably popular 7-day Rush Lake Trek. Flying from Islamabad to the sprawling bazaar town of Gilgit, we drive northwards along the KKH into the breathtakingly beautiful Hunza Valley, Now we begin the best short trek in Hunza. From the picturesque village of Hopar, we cross the Bualtar and Barpu glaciers, trekking through flower strewn ablation valleys and grazing grounds, to Rush Lake (4694 m). From this lofty vantage point see a spectacular panorama of the peaks of the western Karakoram. This is an excellent short trek and the perfect introduction to adventure travel in Asia.
KASHGAR SUNDAY MARKET
From Karimabad on the KKH, we drive across the Khunjerab Pass (4733 m) into Xingjian Province of China and then descend past the Karakul Lakes and the impressive peaks of Mustagh Ata and Kongur. Our journey is timed to coincide with Kashgar's unique Sunday Market, the largest open-air bazaar in Central Asia. Rubbing shoulders with nomadic herdsmen in a melee of donkey-carts, camels and horses, silks and spices, offers a real taste of this romantic and untamed land.
